The Secret Garden, by Frances Hodgson Burnett
When I registered my Nook, all of the books, music, and apps from the previous owner dissappeared except for the Nook user's guides and the novel "The Secret Garden". It's children's literature, but I read it anyway. The excerpt above contains a quote within the quote, and I'm not sure I have the punctuation right; and I can't tell who is making this observation or to whom ... but it's still a good one.
